Bank of New York Mellon
reported earnings and revenue ahead of analyst expectations on Tuesday as the group benefited from a surge in net interest income, a result of higher interest rates.
BNY Mellon (ticker: BK) reported earnings of $1.22 a share on revenue of $4.4 billion in the third quarter. The company was expected to report earnings of $1.15 a share on revenue of $4.3 billion, based on estimates of analysts surveyed by FactSet.
Shares in BNY Mellon advanced 1.4% in premarket trading on Tuesday.
